Gaudiya Vaishnava Tradition

 

 

Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality - the Ultimate Reality, the cause of all causes Who has no cause. He attracts all with His supremely blissful, eternal and imperishable form.


Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the Supreme Lord Krishna in golden complexion, appeared in Bengal about 500 years ago. He established, preached and promoted the Vaishnava philosophy of total devotion and ‘Love of God’ by chanting the holy names of Krishna in ‘Sankirtan’.

His Divine Grace B.S. Saraswati Prabhupada (1874-1937) - the powerhouse of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s preaching movement, popularly known as the ‘Simha Guru’ or Lion among spiritual masters for his forceful preaching. It was only he who singlehandedlyrevived and re-established the Gaudiya Vaishnava Tradition in the modern era   
His Divine Grace B.S.Bhagavat Maharaj (1906-1993), a disciple of His Divine Grace B.S. Saraswati Prabhupada. He was one of the greatest exponents of the Srimad Bhagavata Maha Purana and a connoisseur of the highest order in the field of loving devotion to Lord Sri Krishna.    His Divine Grace Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977), a disciple of His Divine Grace B.S. Saraswati Prabhupada who inspired him to devote his life to the preaching of Vedic Knowledge to the Western World. In 1966, he founded ISKCON in the USA.
    His Divine Grace B.S. Tirtha Maharaj, a disciple of His Divine Grace B.S. Bhagavat Maharaj, appeared in the year 1942 in Tamil Nadu. The Founder Acharya of the Gaudiya Vaishnava Association. Being blessed by his predecessors, he is presently carrying forward the torchlight of the Gaudiya Vaishnava Tradition.
